We preserve portfolios of works by the artists we publish, but we also provide high quality scans of any documents of virtually any size. We use a digital copy stand with a 4x5 camera and a Phase One digital scan back. The document being scanned is not touched at all by the scanning equipment, so it is perfectly suited for extremely delicate items. We are capable of capturing a 33x44" original in one shot and can stitch more than one capture together to do larger documents. The ship's plan of the 74 gun ship from the H. Brown Collection is a 10' long original on vellum created in 1813! We would like to help create digitized libraries of your large format images that can be a valuable resource to museums, libraries and families. We can also help you transform delicate, rare and precious collections into online resources that can be accessed from anywhere in the world at any time of day or night.
